Pamela Dudley Burton is a landscape designer offering design/build services to clients in the greater Boston area and on the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Ms. Burton is certified by the University of Massachusetts’ sustainable “IPM” program and she is a graduate of Harvard’s Landscape Design Institute and the Boston Architectural College.
Ms. Burton specializes in sustainable and earth-friendly solutions, working with homeowners to create useable and inviting outdoor spaces with a particular sensitivity to non-toxic environments.
Before
A former New York City music industry businesswoman, Pamela returned to her original passion, nature, when she sold her business and moved to Newton, Massachusetts eight years ago.
"For nearly 30 years, I was either working in my Manhattan office or touring with  my clients around the world. At first glance, managing rock'n'roll bands and working in international asphalt jungles might not be an obvious prelude to garden design. However, my interest began in Central Park, where I ran each morning. I ran in Tokyo. I ran in Amsterdam. I ran in every major city around the world. Over time, I began to understand how green spaces, gardens, parks, and landscapes shape our lives and our daily experiences.
